For anyone who knows me I’m never seen without my camera! It’s my passion and I absolutely love it! My cameras have traveled the world with me, skied down mountains, explored underwater, they come along to the shops, for lunch, for play dates, they have told so many wonderful stories and created so many beautiful memories.
My passion for photography started at a very young age. I used to pester my mum, also a photographer, to let me take the last few photographs on her film camera. We would transform our bathroom into a darkroom and develop and print our photographs. My job was to rock the chemical trays, and I’d watch in fascination as the images appeared on the paper.
I trained at BBC Television Centre as a camera operator, working on shows like Top of the Pops, Strictly Come Dancing, Eastenders, Blue Peter, The One Show, Pointless to name a few!
I’m still a television camera operator but I decided to go freelance 6 years ago which has allowed me to concentrate more equally on both my passions. Making television and photography really complement each other, it keeps my work fresh and current. Every day is unique and different and I love the creativity it enables me to have.
In June 2015 I married my love Gerard and it was the most amazing day! We got married in France and it was simply perfect!
We have a beautiful, funny little daughter called Amélie. She is our world and it’s been the most fantastic journey becoming parents and seeing this little baby grow and become the lovely little toddler she is today. Every moment is so precious and I have a ridiculous amount of photos of her! We are also expecting our second child which we are thrilled about.
I’d love to hear about your plans so get in touch.
